Carlauren Group - Recovering Your Funds
Refundee is currently speaking to victims of Carlauren Group as part of our ongoing investigations. Our aim is to determine whether claims can be pursued to help recover the funds investors have lost.
What happened with Carlauren Group?
This was an investment scheme involving the redevelopment of properties to turn them into Care homes for the wealthy with a promise of 10% interest a year. The investments were sold room by room.
The company has gone into administration and so far three people have been arrested in connection to the alleged £76m fraud.
What to do if you have invested?
If you’ve been affected, it’s important to know you’re not alone. We are currently speaking to victims who have been affected by Carlauren Group to investigate, and we believe some investors have a successful chance of recovering their funds.
Who can Refundee help?
Most banks have signed up to something called the Contingent Reimbursement Code and we think most people should be covered by this. Unfortunately, banks are currently denying people refunds using exclusion clauses under the Code, that we do not feel are fair or should apply.
We believe that we can help a wide range of people, which we have summarised below:
You sent the money on or after 28th May 2019;
and
There is a UK bank account involved (you sent money from or to a UK account) and they are signed up to the CRM Code. Our fees are transparent, competitive within the industry, and simply structured without hidden charges.
You don’t need to seek professional representation to argue your case. You have the right to represent yourself for free. Of course, this means that you don’t incur a fee if you are successful.
We have recovered over £100million for our clients so far. You can read more about our clients' experiences with us on TrustPilot.
How would the process work?
Refundee manages everything for you.
We begin with an investigation to understand what happened in your specific circumstances. After some paperwork, we handle your case from start to finish, working with your bank through to the Financial Ombudsman Service.
These cases can take around 6-12 months, although the process can vary in terms of duration.
