Our client was unfortunate enough to stumble across an advertisement on social media for high returns in a social housing scheme.

They registered their interest and were then contacted by a member of the team. They sent our client professional brochures which showed properties that they could invest in social housing, which would earn them 10-15% returns p/a.

What made this scam more convincing was that the company was registered on Companies House, they had a physical office, and conducted webinars with other investors. From the outside, it looked real. From the inside, it was far from real.

The scheme collapse and recovery

The scheme initially paid returns to investors, until they stopped and the scheme collapsed - leaving investors with nowhere to turn and looking for ways to recover their money.

That was until they found Refundee. We conducted a thorough review and assessed the possibility of recovering investors' money through UK banking regulations.

Due to the scale of losses from multiple investors, our specialist groups team did what they do best: investigated, gathered evidence, and proved that investors should be reimbursed under UK banking regulations for their losses.

Our client, among many others, was able to recover their full invested amount of £80,000 and get their life back on track, with the help of Refundee.
