Someone posing as Tom Cruise on Facebook took our client's life savings over six years of made-up reasons and promises. The bank rejected the complaint as authorised payments. We escalated to the Financial Ombudsman, which instructed the bank to refund £30,000.

£50,000 inheritance money recovered for a Romance Scam Victim
Targeted while grieving, our client was persuaded to put inheritance money into a fake crypto scheme run by a romance scammer. Lloyds rejected the claim because the payments were authorised. We took the case to the Financial Ombudsman and recovered £50,000.

£46,000 recovered for a victim of a fake job scam
A WhatsApp 'recruiter' offered paid hotel-review tasks, then demanded withdrawal fees to release the commission. We advised our client not to pay, built the case under UK banking regulations and won at the Financial Ombudsman, recovering £46,000 of £56,700.

Romance that led to a job scam - Victim recovers £33,000
A romantic relationship formed online turned into a work-from-home task scam, with deposits to unlock commission that never came. The bank rejected the complaint, so we escalated to the Financial Ombudsman with further evidence and a bespoke appeal, recovering £33,000 of the £48,000 lost.

£30,000 recovered for job/task victim
A 'recruiter' claiming to have found our client's CV on Indeed offered paid hotel-review tasks that needed crypto deposits to unlock commission. After the bank rejected the claim, the Financial Ombudsman agreed the bank should have done more and £30,000 was recovered.

Started as a bond investment, then led to a cryptocurrency scam
A fake bond investment built trust before the scammers moved our client into crypto and a £231,000 loss. The bank and the FOS investigator both said no. Our appeal to the Ombudsman overturned that decision and recovered £115,000.

Victim lost £22,000 to a crypto scam advertised by a fake Martin Lewis advert
A Facebook advert using Martin Lewis's image led our client to a fake crypto platform and a follow-on recovery scam. Revolut rejected the claim, so we took it to the Financial Ombudsman and recovered £11,000, including the money sent to the 'recovery' scammers.

Vaquita Capital claimed to be trading Forex and CFDs while its directors falsely claimed to be seeking FCA authorisation. Banks refused to reimburse. £3 million has already been recovered for the 100+ investors we support.

Moustaphe Mounde Telecoms (MMT) - £6 million recovered for 200+ investors
MMT collapsed in 2022 owing investors millions. Banks continued to decline claims even with a filmed confession from the fraudster. Refundee has recovered more than £6 million, with over 90% of clients reimbursed in full.
